Xiaomi has become the no. 1 smartphone brand in India, and is trying hard to stay on that position. Recently, Xiaomi launched three devices, Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro and world’s thinnest LED TV MiTV 4. A couple of weeks ago, a leak came about the possible launch of a gaming smartphone from Black Shark, one of the subsidiaries of Xiaomi. But at that time, there is no official confirmation. But now, a new BlackShark smartphone with flagship specifications is now revealed by Antutu.
However, there are no details about the name and model number of the device. The teaser image reveals that the device to feature USB Type-C port and stereo speakers on the bottom edge.
The device comes with a metal unibody design with chamfered edges and is covered by a 2.5D curved glass on the top. Specifications on the device include, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It also includes 8GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. We expect the device to be made available in different storage options too, as 32GB is quite low (being a gaming device).

Some leaks suggest that the device might come with the aviation-class cooling system. Since it is a gaming device, we expect the company to make even more tweaks. Though, we don’t expect the device to be slim like other flagship devices. The upcoming BlackShark smartphone is listed to come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Let’s wait and see whether it comes with MIUI skin on the top or not. Talking about the display, it sports 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. BlackShark with 270680 Antutu score has crossed other Snapdragon 845 powered devices including Samsung Galaxy S9 and Asus Zenfone 5z. The BlackShark will be competing with the Snapdragon 835 powered RazerPhone.
