Today, Xiaomi launched its most awaited Smartphone in India at an event in New Delhi. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 smartphone in India with the tag of India’s all rounder. As we all know, the Redmi Note 5 smartphone is the successor of the last year’s budget king smartphone i.e., Redmi Note 4.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz. The Redmi Note 5 sports a large 5.99-inch FHD+ display and has 403 ppi. The device features the trending 18:9 (2160×1080) aspect ratio of the display. Because of the bezel-less display the primary navigation buttons are now mounted on the screen. The smartphone has almost 12.5% more display area and has rounded corners that offers an elegant design.

It has two RAM options along with internal storage, one is 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and another with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi has paired the device with a 4000 mAh battery for an incredibly long lasting experience. Xiaomi claims 14 hours of video playback, 27 hours of audio, and approx 8 hours of continuous gaming time. According to Xiaomi India- “ We packaged this device with the high performance of the eight 2.0Ghz cores, and you’ve got the powerful yet long-lasting combination that makes Redmi Note 5 so special.”

Now the much awaited part camera. The predecessor of the Note 5 i.e., Note 4 is not that good in terms of camera. And we expect that this device supports good cameras. But we can’t say anything right now. So in terms of camera or optics, the Redmi Note 5 has 5MP front facing camera with built-in selfie light. At the rear of the device you have a 12 MP camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture. And underneath that camera sensor you’ll have a circular fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options on the device includes, GSM: 2/3/5/8, WCDMA: 1/2/5/8, FDD LTE: 1/3/5, TDD LTE: 40/41, Micro USB 2.0 port and hybrid SIM card slot.

Now the main part, Prices. So the Redmi note 5 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the 3/32GB variant and the higher variant i.e., 4/64GB is priced at Rs. 11,999. The device is available in 4 different colours namely, Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue.
