Samsung introduced the Infinity display in it’s smartphones with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. These smartphones came with 18.5:9 screen ratio and feature minimal bezels on the top and bottom. Samsung also opted for the pressure sensitive virtual home button instead of the physical home button. After the S8 devices, Samsung introduced the same display in the Galaxy A-series by launching the Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones.

Now it seems that company is expanding the infinity display to its affordable Galaxy J-series. The screenshots included in the FCC listing of the device with the model number SM-J600F reveals the on-screen navigation buttons. The device is expected to be soon launched as Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018).

The smartphone will measure 146.3 mm in length and 67.0 mm in breadth. However, the exact screen size is not known to us but the diagonal length of the display is mentioned as 142. 8 mm (5.6-inches). The device has a non-removable battery and supports dual SIM dual standby 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The device will also offer fingerprint scanner and face unlock.

It also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. However, the device doesn’t support fast charging. Last month, the same SM-J600F handset was spotted on Geekbench and is mentioned to run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, it comes powered by 1.59GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, the same which powers the 2 year old Samsung Galaxy J7-6. The old processor is coupled with Mali-T830 GPU and 3GB RAM. Nothing is official yet so please take these details with a pinch of salt and stay tuned to The Unbiased Review for more details!
