The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the best selling smartphone in India. It offers great cameras, trustworthy processor and comes at a great price. Today, Xiaomi has launched the successor of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India.
But, Is it really a true successor? Well, according to us, No! The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with almost same hardware and specs and the software too is not new.
The Note 6 Pro sports a 6.26-inch 2280 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ Notch Display with a 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, there is the same 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and Adreno 509 GPU. The Note 6 Pro comes with Android 8.0 Oreo OS with MIUI 10 on top, which its predecessor also offers.
The device support Hybrid Dual SIM slot i.e., you have to choose between the secondary SIM and MicroSD card. There is a 12MP main camera sensor on the rear with dual-tone LED flash and f/1.9 aperture size along with Dual PD AutoFocus, 1.4μm and EIS. The main sensor is supported by a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with F/2.0 aperture size supported with a secondary 2MP camera for bokeh shots.
Xiaomi claims that the cameras present on the Redmi Note 6 Pro are flagship grade. Xiaomi also introduced AI Portrait 2.0 with Adjustable Bokeh, Studio Lighting and Light Trails.
There is a fingerprint sensor along with face unlocking feature to enhance the security levels. The Redmi Note 6 Pro has the same 4000mAh battery which now supports Quick Charge 3.0.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is available in four color options namely Red, Black, Blue and Rose Gold. If we talk about pricing, then the 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs.13,999 while the 6GB+64GB variant costs Rs.15,999.
However, if you buy the Redmi Note 6 Pro tomorrow at Black Friday Sale then you’ll get an additional Rs.1000 discount. That’s not all, HDFC cardholders will also get extra Rs.500 off (only for tomorrow).
