Qualcomm is all set to launch its new flagship processor – the Snapdragon 8150 (SD 855) next month. The chipmaker has already sent invites about its Snapdragon Technology Summit in Yidao, Hawaii on December 4th, where we can expect the new flagship processor to be announced by the company.
The SD 855 is most likely to be built on a 7nm process featuring a single large core paired with three other large cores and four small cores which clocked to one 2.84GHz along with three 2.4GHz and four at 1.78GHz respectively. The new Adreno 640 GPU is expected to be 20% higher than the predecessor Adreno 630 GPU.
While it’s technically a successor to the Snapdragon 845 chip, the identity or should i say name, is slightly different. It will be named as Snapdragon 8150, which can be referred to as SD 855 as well.
The new processor naturally falls in the category of Apple’s A12 Bionic chip along with Huawei’s Kirin 980 flagship processors.
Moreover, Samsung’s Galaxy S10 would be the most popular smartphone to feature this processor early next year along with its Samsung’s in-house Exynos chipset as well. Stay tuned to theunbiasedreview for more details!
