Indian Motorcycles has finally launched the Scout Bobber. Essentially, the Scout Bobber is same as the standard Scout but it gets a sexier, stripped down and evocative design. It has got a commanding handlebar, a fat front tyre, the sculpted solo seat and the rear fender with an accessory luggage rack mounted on it. The tyres actually lend solid muscle to the overall look of the bike. The headlamp is surrounded by chrome while the alloy wheels have been blacked out. The footpegs have been re-positioned to offer more committed riding posture. In all the Scout Bobber has the presence and the appeal and looks expensive, rich and premium.
This is a quick motorcycle and within the first five minutes on its saddle, you’ll get to know about it. You can reach from 0-100kph in just 4.5 seconds of time. Interestingly, it nearly does all of it in first gear. It has 1,133cc, liquid-cooled V-Twin which produces 94hp and 97Nm of torque at 5,600rpm. A six-speed transmission helps with clever gearshifts. The Scout Bobber also sports a massive radiator, which helps keep the engine temperature in check, even in awful traffic.
With its Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag, the Indian Scout Bobber is still a very desirable motorcycle. Despite not being like the new-age Harleys, it stands out in a crowd. It offers a level of exclusivity that’s hard to come by at this price point. Given our road conditions, the Scout Bobber is from one of those feel-good motorcycles that are great for a quick ride around city to go get some ice-cream or milk and attention- and nothing else.
What i personally felt is, this is one is the prettiest motorcycles to go on sale, but the price is slightly higher. You’ve other options too- what about Harley Davidson IRON 1200?
