After, debuting in China on April 19 Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched the Honor 10 flagship smartphone today in London (May 15). The new flagship from company take over much of its hardware from the new Huawei P20 and pack it in a more “youthful” design. So without any further delay here are it’s full specifications.
Specifications and Features
From the outside, the Honor 10 resembles P20 smartphones a lot, except for the arrangement of the cameras on the back. Honor’s new flagship also has a “notch” screen. The front-facing fingerprint sensor on this device is placed under the glass, not under the display.
The Honor 10 has a 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ panel that supports 2280 x 1080 (18:9) pixels and a 2.5D glass. The Honor 10 consists an aluminum frame and domed glass covers in front and in the back.
As mentioned earlier, the only noticeable design change on the Honor 10 as against the P20 smartphones, is the horizontally arranged dual camera setup instead of the vertical dual camera found on the P20.
There’s a 16MP RGB sensor and a 24MP Monochrome sensor on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and CAF autofocus. For selfies, there is a single 24MP sensor on the front with f/2.0 aperture. Just like the Huawei P20 smartphones, the Honor 10 also comes with AI-assisted cameras on the front and rear. However, there is no Leica branding on the Honor 10 smartphone.
The Honor 10, like Huawei’s P20 and Mate10 series, feature company’s own Kirin 970 Octa-core SoC, which operates at up to 2.4 Ghz and has a built-in “neural processing unit” ( NPU). The processor is coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The flagship comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The operating system is Android 8.1.0 in conjunction with the in-house interface EMUI 8.1.
The battery capacity of the Honor 10 is 3,400mAh (non-removable) and supports up to 5V/4.5A (22.5W) super fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The Honor 10 also sports a dedicated AK4376A audio chip for Hi-Fi audio output.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 10 is priced at ₹ 32,999 and is Flipkart exclusive. It will be available only in 2 color options in India i.e., Phantom Blue and Midnight black. However, the Honor 10 has 4 different colours namely the Phantom Blue (Gradient color), Phantom Green (Gradient color), Midnight Black and Galcier Grey.
