From the last few weeks, there are several leaks about the launch of Mi A2 smartphone from Xiaomi. The smartphone maker is expected to launch the China-exclusive Mi 6X as Mi A2 in global markets. Unlike the Mi 6X, the Mi A2 will be Android One smartphobe coming with stock Android. Recently, Xiaomi has confirmed to hold the global launch on July 24th in Madrid, Spain. While there is no confirmation about the product, but all leaks and rumors point out towards the Mi A2 smartphone.
The MiA2, as the name suggests, is the predecessor of Xiaomi’s Android one device MiA1. The MiA2 was launched in China about 3 months ago as Mi6X. Before the launch, a European website has leaked the images and specifications of both the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones.
The Mi A2 Lite is not a new smartphone, rather it’s the Android One version of the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone. Xiaomi has aslo confirmed to launch the Mi A2 smartphone on July 25th in Indonesia too. However, there is no information about the India launch date.
While the Mi A2 comes with 18:9 display, the cheaper Mi A2 Lite will be offering notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Both the devices will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Since these are Android One smartphones, they’ll also get two major Android updates i.e., Android P and Android O. The Mi A2 will pack the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC while, the Mi A2 Lite will use Xiaomi’s favourite Snapdragon 625 processor.
