HMD Global, Nokia’s Parent company has been teasing the launch of a new Nokia X-series smartphone on July 11th in China. However, the launch event is now canceled due to some inconvenience caused at the venue. But the specifications of the device are already revealed by the TENAA listing and the press renders also revealed complete design of the device. While the official launch event is yet to happen, the leaked poster suggests the Nokia X5 to cost 799 Yuan (approx $120 / Rs 8,200) in China.

At this price, the specifications of the device makes the Nokia X5 stand out. The 799 Yuan price tag will definitely be the base variant of the Nokia X5. However, nothing is official yet so take this info with a pinch of salt. As seen on the Nokia X6, the new Nokia X5 will also come with the notch display. Considering its low price tag, the Nokia X5 will be coming with an HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution panel.

As per the TENAA listing, the Nokia X5 sport a 5.86-inch 19:9 display. Under the hood, the device might come powered by Helio P23/P60 octa-core processor. The device is expected to come in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of storage options. It will run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with custom skin laid on top. The Nokia X5 is expected to debut in the international markets as Nokia 5.1 Plus with stock android.

In terms of cameras, the Nokia X5 sports 13MP dual camera setup on the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter. It will be backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and might support 5V/2A power input. The Nokia X5 measures 149.51 × 71.98 × 8.09 mm and weighs 160 grams. The device will also come with pretty much hyped face unlock along with rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
