ŠKODA Auto India is committed to providing its customers with the safest cars possible. With a 50-year legacy of safety testing and crash tests, ŠKODA Auto is dedicated to ensuring that every vehicle it produces is designed to prioritize the safety of its occupants.

As part of this ongoing commitment to safety, ŠKODA Auto India recently hosted a Safer with ŠKODA Track Day at the NATRAX facility in Indore, Asia’s largest vehicle testing center. The event was designed to showcase the active safety features and braking maneuvers of ŠKODA cars, as well as the off-road abilities of the 4×4 range.

The event also highlighted the fact that every ŠKODA car produced since 2008 has been rated 5-star globally, making the brand one of the safest in the world. This impressive safety record is due to the company’s state-of-the-art Polygon test center in Úhelnice, which has been awarded Crash Laboratory of the Year 2020 by the Automotive Testing Technology International trade journal.

ŠKODA Auto India’s focus on safety is reflected in the design, development, and decision-making stages of engineering, with safety being a top priority throughout the process. This approach has resulted in the company already topping safety charts among made-in-India cars in Global NCAP crash tests.

The company’s INDIA 2.0 cars, developed from the ground up with extra emphasis on safety, have also scored full 5-stars for adult and child occupants in Global NCAP crash tests. The Kodiaq SUV has also achieved a 5-star rating for adult and child safety in the Euro NCAP crash tests.

Christian Cahn von Seelen, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Digital at ŠKODA Auto Volkswagen India, said, “The common thread that binds all our products is the exceptional packaging in terms of dynamic drive, features that matter, comfortable ride and most importantly, unparalleled safety.”

Petr Šolc, Brand Director of ŠKODA Auto India, emphasized the company’s commitment to safety, saying, “The skeletal structure of our cars is laser-welded, comprising of high-strength steel, and has been built to mitigate and absorb the impact.”

In conclusion, ŠKODA Auto India’s focus on safety is unwavering. With the Safer with ŠKODA Track Day, the company has showcased its commitment to providing its customers with the safest cars possible. As the company continues to prioritize safety in its engineering, design, and development processes, it is clear that ŠKODA Auto India will continue to be a leader in safety among made-in-India cars.
