Samsung the Korean multinational launched the successor of On7, today at an event in Gurugram. The Galaxy On7 Prime is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone.

The device runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box (and not on the latest Oreo) with the Samsung Experience 8.5 customisation on top. The On7 prime sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) PLS TFT LCD display with 16M colour depth. It is powered by Exynos 7870 SoC, octa-core which is clocked 1.6GHz and is coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
The other key specifications of the smartphone include Samsung Pay mini support, apart from a full metal unibody and up to 4GB of RAM.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy On7 Prime features a 13-megapixel CMOS rear sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. The front facing camera of the device also bears the same sensor but without autofocus feature.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the device includes ambient light, accelerometer, and proximity. You can also find a fingerprint sensor on the home button of the smartphone, while it also bears hardware capacitive keys. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is packed by a 3300mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 21 hours of talk time (on 3G WCDMA). It measures 151.7x 75.0×8.0 mm, and weighs 167 grams.
Storage options on the device includes- 3/32GB and 4/64GB – both of which are expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a microSD card slot.
Now the prices, Samsung priced Galaxy On7 Prime at Rs. 12,990 for the 3/32GB storage variant, and goes up to Rs. 14,990 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The device will be exclusively available on Amazon India and the Samsung Shop, and will go on sale from January 20. The device is available in two colour options Gold and Black.
Launch offers on this device includes Rs. 2,000 cashback for JioMoney users, if they recharge for Rs 299 recharge (24 months). The first Rs. 800 cashback will be given after 12 months, and the next Rs. 1,200 will be given after the next 12 months. A clever trick, right?
