Earlier this year, OPPO launched the F7 smartphone with the diamond cut design. Later on the design was used by a couple of smartphones including the Realme 1. Now, it seems like Oppo to bring yet another smartphone with the same design. The new OPPO A5 will be launching soon in China and it looks similar to the earlier launched OPPO A3. Though, the A5 comes with dual rear cameras instead of a single camera.
While Oppo’s sister brand Vivo is implementing in-display fingerprint sensor on its high-end smartphones. OPPO is ditching the fingerprint sensor on most of its smartphones and as a result the upcoming OPPO A5 also misses the fingerprint sensor. The phone unlocking will totally depend on software-based facial recognition technology which isn’t even foolproof.
It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS. Talking about the specifications, the OPPO A5 sports a 6.2-inch IPS display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The A5 will also feature the pretty much hyped notch. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
The device will be coming with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. As for the microSD Card slot we can’t say anything but rumors suggest that there’ll be one. In terms of optics, the OPPO A5 has a dual camera setup consists of a 13MP and 2MP sensors. For selfies the device has an 8MP selfie shooter.
It will be backed by a large 4,230mAh non-removable battery. The OPPO A5 measures 156.2 × 75.6 × 8.2 mm. The device will be available in two colour options namely, Mirror Blue and Mirror Gold. As of now, there is no information about the launch date and the pricing of this device. Stay tune to TheUnhiasedReview for more details!
