Nokia 6 2018

At the MWC 2018, HMD Global officially announced the Nokia 6 (2018). At the event, Nokia touted the device to be more compact with a durable body, over its predecessor. HMD Global claims that the device is over 60% faster.

Among other improvements, the new Nokia 6 (2018) comes with enhanced Dual-Sight, ZEISS optics, USB type “C” fast-charging, a more compact screen-to-body ratio, Nokia spatial audio, and Android Oreo out-of-the-box. The device also comes with support for Google Assistant, and also comes with a face recognition feature.

The Nokia 6 (2018) sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D display with ‘damage-resistant’ Corning Gorilla Glass. HMD Global says the New Nokia 6’s body is built to last. Under the hood, the new Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. Accompanying the chipset is a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The company announced that the device will be available in early April. There is another variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is said to be “coming later”.

In terms of cameras, the new Nokia 6 smartphone comes with “Bothie” camera feature and Nokia OZO audio features from Nokia 7 with the fingerprint sensor moved at the back. There is a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device is supported by a 3,000mAh battery similar to the outgoing model.

The smartphone will be available in Black-Copper, White-Iron and Blue-Gold, color options. The Nokia 6 (2018) will go on sale in early April and will come at a price of €279 (Rs 18,000 approximately).
