Lenovo-owned Motorola has sent out invites for a launch event that will be held on April 19 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is speculated that the company may launch the Moto G6 series at the launch event.
The launch invite states that the unveil event will begin at 10 AM on April 19th. Apart from this, it does not contain any information about the devices that will be announced. The rumors has already revealed the entire specs and features of the Moto G6 series. In terms of design, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play are exactly same but difference comes in screen sizes. The Moto G6 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Moto G6 Plus features a bigger 5.93-inch display with the same Full HD+ resolution. The Moto G6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset while the Moto G6 Plus comes with Snapdragon 630 SoC.
The Moto G6 Play, comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) display. However, it is powered by an unknown octa-core processor. The Moto G6 Play comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage. Both the Moto G6 & G6 Plus come in 3GB & 4GB RAM options with 32GB and 64GB of storage.
The Moto G6 Plus also comes in 6GB RAM variant. The Moto G6 and G6 Plus will have a fingerprint sensor on the front, whereas the Moto G6 Play comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor integrated into the Moto logo. All the three devices will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
In terms of Camera, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus has the same camera sensors. There is a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The Moto G6 Play comes with a 12MP rear camera sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. Both the cameras are accompanied by LED flash,on all the three devices. Surprisingly, the Moto G6 Play has a 4,000mAh battery, while the Moto G6 Plus with a bigger screen size comes with a 3,200mAh battery.
