Maruti Suzuki has officially revealed the details of the Indian version of the Maruti Suzuki. The car will be offered in a total of 12 variants. And as expected, will be powered by 1.2-litre K12 petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine as seen on the present car.
There will be a total of six variants available depending upon the engine options LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+ with a five-speed manual. Though, automated manual transmission option will be offered only on the VXi/VDi and ZXi/ZDi trims.
The new Swift will be based upon the Heartect platform as seen on the current Baleno. It means that the new Swift will be approximately 40-60 kgs. lighter than the older one results in better performance, better speed, and better mileage. The boot space has also increased by up to 58 Litres and now it offers a total boot space of 265 litres.
Since engines have been carried over from the outgoing car, so you’ll get the 1.2-litre, 83 hp/113 Nm petrol and the 1.3-litre, 75 hp/190 Nm diesel.
A infotainment system is also present both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility will be offered on the higher trims. Along with infotainment cluster, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, two-tone alloy wheels, voice recognition, Bluetooth audio streaming, in-built navigation and a reverse camera will also be offered.Two airbags and ABS will be standard across the range.

Paint scheme on the new Swift includes, orange, blue, red, white, silver and grey. Bookings are started and you can book one starting today by making an initial payment of Rs 11,000.
