In a significant move to consolidate its position in India’s fast-growing EV market, Kinetic Green has announced an aggressive expansion of its electric two-wheeler (E2W) portfolio with the upcoming launch of three Born Electric scooters over the next 18 months. The new range will debut with a premium family scooter ahead of the 2025 festive season.

The announcement follows the strong market response to E-Luna, Kinetic Green’s first electric two-wheeler, which launched in 2024. With over 80,000 units sold, the company now aims to scale up both its product range and retail footprint.

Next-Gen E-Scooters with Global Design and Local Engineering

The first model in the new lineup will feature a retro-inspired yet tech-forward design, including a vibrant TFT display, IoT connectivity, and a smart digital platform co-developed with JioThings. Multiple battery options and fast-charging support are expected, catering to varied urban mobility needs and price points.

To elevate its design game, Kinetic Green has partnered with Torino Design, an Italian automotive design firm, to co-create a futuristic line of scooters. These upcoming models will reflect a new “Born Electric” design philosophy, combining radical aesthetics with practical engineering for Indian roads.

“Thoughtful Engineering” as Core Product Philosophy

Kinetic Green has introduced a unique approach called “Thoughtful Engineering,” integrating intelligent design, safety features, and digital connectivity. This philosophy is meant to redefine what electric scooters can offer in terms of utility, style, and convenience for Indian consumers.

“With over a decade of experience in electric mobility, we’re excited to bring a new generation of e-scooters designed from the ground up,” said Dr. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green. “We are blending our deep EV expertise with premium styling, advanced tech, and consumer-first design to create a truly next-gen product lineup.”

EV Market Timing: Strategic and Promising

The timing appears strategic. India witnessed sales of over 1.15 million electric two-wheelers in FY2024-25, with e-scooters accounting for 90% of them. Market analysts forecast e-scooter penetration to jump from 15% to 70% by 2030, with the total market size expected to reach ₹40,000 crore.

Kinetic Green, with its strong R&D base, 400+ exclusive dealerships, and a legacy brand built over decades, is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth.

Company Background and Strategic Vision

Founded in 2016, Kinetic Green has evolved from a manufacturer of electric three-wheelers to a major EV brand in both B2B and B2C segments. Its E-Luna marked a turning point in 2024, being one of the few electric scooters suited for both urban families and last-mile delivery sectors.

The company also has a joint venture with Tonino Lamborghini to produce premium electric golf carts and lifestyle vehicles for global markets. Backed by a $25 million Series A funding from Greater Pacific Capital and aiming to raise an additional $30 million, Kinetic Green is actively scaling its capabilities for global ambitions.

Conclusion: Kinetic Green’s Born Electric Vision for India

The launch of Kinetic Green’s Born Electric scooters signals more than a product expansion — it marks a strategic bet on the future of urban mobility in India. With strong partnerships, fresh design language, and a growing dealer ecosystem, the company is aiming to shape the next wave of electric vehicle adoption in the country.
