Intel, at the Computex 2021 trade show declares two new 11th gen chips along with its first ever 5G modem for PCs.
At Computex 2021, the virtually held largest computer and technology trade show, Intel has come with various new updates.
Intel also made a fascinating announcement about its first ever 5G modem for PCs called ‘Intel 5G Solution 5000’.
The Intel 5G Solution 5000:
The Intel 5G Solution 5000 is the result of the collaboration with MediaTek and Fibocom, announced in 2019.
MediaTek having helped with the product definition, development and support while Fibocom with the supply of such 5G options to Intel for better connectivity.
The Intel 5G Solution 5000 aims to offer faster speed over the Intel Gigabit Long Term Evolution.
It is Intel’s first 5G solution with worldwide carrier certification. The Intel 5G Solution 5000 is equipped with 5G connectivity paired with Intel Wi-Fi 6/6E (Gig+).
The two new 11th gen core processors:
Along with the new 5G modem, Intel also announced two new to 11th Gen Intel Core processors meant for thin-and-light Windows based laptops.
The new prossesors are the Core i7-1195G7 and the Core i5-1155G7.
The former gives a single-core turbo speed of up to 5GHz, while the latter gives up to 4.5GHz speed.
The ISV optimizations on the processors allow up to eight times faster transcoding and up to twice the video editing speed.
The new 11th gen Intel core processors are said to bring real-world productivity with better connectivity, creation, gaming, etc.
Intel 5G Solution 5000 will first appear along with the 11th Gen Intel Core U- and H-series processors on computers by Acer, ASUS and HP later this year.
Moreover, the company also says that over 30 designs based on the Intel 5G Solution 5000 are expected in 2022 along with more than 60 designs based on the Intel Core i7-1195G7 and Intel Core i5-1155G7.
