Today, Mahindra has officially launched the Mojo UT300 for Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The UT300 still retains the styling of the standard Mojo i.e., XT300 but loses out considerably in terms of equipment. That’s all because company wants to make it more affordable. The UT300 will be sold with an additional introductory benefit of Rs 10,000 till the end of March.
UT300 borrow it’s engines from the XT300 i.e., the same 292cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. A slighter change is that it uses a carburettor instead of a fuel injector, which is likely to imply a small dip in performance figures. Another noticeable change in the vehicle is the addition of conventional front fork instead of premium USD unit seen on the standard Mojo.
As mentioned earlier, the UT300 loses out some of its equipments and the big one is Mojo’s famous twin exhausts for a single-sided setup. Mahindra has also switched from the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II to MRF tyres. Other noticeable changes are the missing LED Daytime Running LEDs which were present on its predecessor. The lack of gold-coloured accents is also noticeable.
Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, the UT300 costs Rs 21,000 less than the XT300.
