At the ongoing Qualcomm 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong, the company announced the all-new Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform chipset. The all-new Snapdragon 600-series chipset is going to built on Samsungs’s 11nm LPP process technology. The Snapdragon 675 SoC will come packed with 4th-gen Kryo CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. The new generation Kryo 460 CPU features 2x high-performance cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x power efficient cores clocked at 1.7GHz.
Compared to the Snapdragon 670 SoC, the new Snapdragon 675 SoC is mentioned to offer 30% faster game launch time & 35% faster web browsing.
As far as cameras are concerned, the SD675 uses the older Spectra 250 ISP but with triple camera setup. It supports 4K video recording at 30 fps along with 4K video playback.
On the connectivity front, it features Snapdragon X12 LTE modem that offers up to 600Mbps download speeds and up to 150Mbps upload speed. The Snapdragon 675 will support dual SIM dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 2×2 MIMO & Bluetooth 5.0.
The new Snapdragon 675 will offer smoother gameplay with software optimizations and will also offer an enhanced gaming experience with the selected titles including PUBG & CrossFire Mobile.
- The SD675 also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology.
