Micromax’s subsidiary Yu Televentures launched the Yu Ace smartphone on Thursday in India. The smartphone comes with 18:9 display, a 4,000mAh battery, Face Unlock, and stock Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s Steroid Launcher on top. The device will be exclusively available via Flipkart. To recall, this is the first smartphone launched by the brand in nearly a year. The company claims the Yu Ace will also get an Android Pie update soon.

Yu Ace price in India, release date

The Yu Ace has been priced at Rs. 5,999 for 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage variant, and it will go on sale via Flipkart from 12pm IST on September 6. The smartphone will be available in Charcoal Grey, Elektric Blue, and Rose Gold colour options. A 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will also come at the end of September this year.

Yu Ace specifications

The dual-SIM and dual-VoLTE Yu Ace smartphone runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s Steroid Launcher on top. It features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera accompanied by a flash. At front, it has a 5MP front camera which also helps in unlocking the phone via Face Unlock feature. The smartphone also bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and comes with the standard set of connectivity options.
