Vivo launched a new smartphone in India called Vivo V9 Pro. Essentially, the V9 Pro is the same Vivo V9 6GB which was launched in June in Indonesia. On the design front, the Vivo V9 Pro looks exactly similar to the Vivo V9. However, the Vivo V9 Pro packs better hardware and is priced at Rs 17,990.
With that aggressive price tag, the Vivo V9 Pro will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Mi A2 and Realme 2 Pro smartphones. It comes with the glossy finish body, curved edges and sports a 6.3-inch Full View IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. With the notch display, the device will be offering 90% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device has Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU.
Compared to the Vivo V9 which was powered by Snapdragon 626, the new Vivo V9 Pro certainly offers best in class specifications. Even the latest, Vivo V11 Pro which is priced at Rs 25,990 is powered by the same Snapdragon 660 chipset. There is 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated MicroSD card slot.
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box . The device has a dedicated SIM card slot which also offers dual SIM dual standby support. Talking about the cameras, the Vivo V9 Pro sports a 13MP + 2MP rear camera combo with f/2.2 aperture and a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device sports a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and also comes with face unlock support. It is backed by a 3,260mAh battery and comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams. The device will be available in Black and Nebula Purple color options and will be sold exclusively via Amazon India.
