Today, Samsung has launched its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ devices in the Indian market. The smartphones will be available offline through various retailers and online through Samsung online store and Flipkart. Flipkart will be accepting pre-orders starting 14:00 IST.
Both phones are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 octa-core processor with Mali G72MP18 GPU. The Galaxy S9 packs 4GB of RAM while the S9+ packs 6GB of RAM. Samsung launched two variants of both the devices, one in 64GB and other 256GB storage. The 64GB Galaxy S9 is priced at INR 57,900 and the 256GB at INR 65,900. The 64GB Galaxy S9+ is priced at INR 64,900 and the 256GB at INR 72,900. Samsung Galaxy S9 users will be getting Rs. 6,000 cashback when purchased through Paytm or HDFC debit & credit cards.

The 64GB variant will be available in three color options, Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. While, the 256GB variant will only be available in Midnight Black colour.
Coming to the camera department, the Galaxy S9 sports a 12MP dual pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture, and 960fps super slo-mo support. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9+ comes with a 12MP primary rear camera and 12MP secondary camera along with f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture, LED Flash, and 960fps super slo-mo support. On the front, both the devices feature 8MP auto-focus shooter with wide-angle lens and f/1.7 aperture.
Both the devices are running Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on the top. The Galaxy S9 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9+ is powered by bigger 3,500mAh battery. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, both flagship smartphones are also equipped with security features like improved KNOX and Intelligent Scan that combines Iris Scanner and face recognition.
