Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S9 devices in India. Some leaks are coming about the Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini. The Geekbench listing revealed the device to come with the model number SM-G8750. The S9 Mini will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. However, a new Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-G8850 is listed on TENAA.
However, there is no official confirmation but we expect the listed device to be Galaxy S9 Mini. Similar to the Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones, the Galaxy S9 Mini also comes with a glass sandwich design. It has a 5.6-inch display when measured with rounded corners but has a larger 5.8-inch screen when measured rectangularly. The company will provide Super AMOLED display panels with Quad HD+ (2960 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
The device has an unknown octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz. The anonymous processor is coupled with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. The device retains the 3.5 mm audio jack along with the Micro SD card slot. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, same as on the Galaxy S9.
Surprisingly, the device has Apple iPhone X like vertically aligned dual rear cameras. We expect the the company to offer the 12MP dual rear cameras but without variable aperture. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera. Along with the power button and volume rocker, the S9 Mini also has a dedicated Bixby button. It will be supporting dual SIM dual standby and might offer same connectivity options as seen on the Galaxy S9 smartphones.
On the rear, there is also a fingerprint sensor but it’s position seems to be annoying. While some rumors say this new device to be Galaxy S9 Mini, while some others say this device to be a new China-exclusive Galaxy A-series smartphone.
