Reliance is all set to officially host its 44th Annual General Meeting on 24th June 2021 at 2pm IST.
It is going to be an online event and is expected to live stream on Reliance’s YouTube channel and on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
The upcoming online Reliance AGM is expected to make a number of announcements, especially those related to 5G.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is expected to announce the low-cost 5G JioPhone, JioBook and Jio 5G in India, and as usual address its shareholders as well as others.
5G Jio Phone:
In December 2020, Reliance had partnered with Google to launch the low-cost 5G Jio phone in India.
Rumours are that the upcoming 5G Jio smartphone will run on Android Go OS and will be the cheapest 5G phone in India costing around Rs. 2,500/-.
JioBook laptop:
In addition to the 5G Jio phone, the company is expected to announce a low-cost JioBook laptop. The specifications of the JioBook were leaked with an image.
The JioBook is expected to come with a custom Android version, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
Whereas, a higher variant is expected to offer 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
5G Jio services:
Reliance, in December 2020 had announced that the 5G Jio services will roll out in the mid of the year 2021, which is perfectly in accordance with its upcoming AGM 2021.
Reliance at its 5G trials has already achieved speeds of over 1Gbps.
The company said that it has created a complete 5G solution from scratch and it plans to use 100 percent home-grown technologies and solutions.
The Chairman Mukesh Ambani is also expected to disclose the Jio 5G plans in the AGM 2021.
