After so many teasers and leaks, Realme has launched the Realme U1 handset in India. The handset is marketed as India’s Selfie Pro and as a result supports dedicated front camera. Not only this, Realme U1 is the first smartphone in entire world to feature MediaTek Helio P70 processor.

The device will go on sale in India from Dec. 5th through Amazon India and will be available in 3 color options, Ambitious Black, Brave Blue and Fiery Gold. SBI card holders will also get 5% instant cashback.
Realme U1 Specifications
In terms of design, the Realme U1 is a replica of the company’s previously launched Realme 2 Pro. These two share the same front and rear design, with the Realme U1 being a bit thinner and comfortable to hold.
As mentioned above, the Realme U1 is the first device to be launched with MediaTek’s flagship Helio P70 chipset, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card). It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out-of-the-box.
In terms of Optics, the Realme U1 includes a horizontally-placed 13MP (f/2.2) + 2MP (f/2.4) dual rear-camera module on the rear and a 25MP (f/2.0) Sony IMX576 selfie camera.
There’s a 3,500mAh battery, which is the same size as the Realme 2 Pro. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, triple-slot SIM and microSD card tray, micro-USB port for charging and data transfer, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
