Nokia 6 Goes Official
HMD Global will formally launch its first cell phone in 2018 in China tomorrow. Just like its predecessors, the second-gen Nokia 6 will likewise first dispatch in China. While the Nokia 6 was launched exclusively on JD.com, the new Nokia 6 (2018) will be online selective to Suning.
The gadget is now listed on its site with complete specifications and pricing. The Nokia 6 (2018) comes in 32GB and 64GB capacity variants and is evaluated at 1499 Yuan and 1699 Yuan respectively.
In terms of designing, it looks relatively similar to it’s ancestors with the metal unibody design and chamfered edges. However, there is no forward looking physical home button on the second-gen Nokia 6, rather, it comes with on-screen navigation buttons and front-facing
fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be available in White and Black color alternatives.
Discussing the specifications, the device wears a 5.5-inch In-cell display on the front with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 16:9 angle proportion.
Over the display is the Corning Gorilla Glass for additional protection. The device sports a 64-bit Snapdragon 630 octa-center processor combined with Adreno 508 GPU. The gadget offers 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB internal choices.
There is also a MicroSD card slot
for further expansion of the memory upto 128GB. It bolsters double SIM double standby and measures 148.8 x 75.8 x 8.15 mm. The device keeps running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and is said to get the most recent Android Oreo refresh soon.
Discussing the cameras, there is a 16MP back camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 8MP front camera with a similar f/2.0 aperture. Similar to the Nokia 8, the second-gen Nokia 6 comes with OZO sound technology for recording 360-degree spatial surround sound. It is sponsored by a 3,000mAh battery and is said to help fast charging. Connectivity on the Nokia 6 (2018) incorporates 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3.5mm sound jack, and a USB Type-C port.
