Today, Xiaomi has finally entered in the cluttered laptops market in India by launching the Mi Notebook laptops. Xiaomi has launched the Mi Notebook 14 lineup in India. It includes the Mi Notebook 14 and a ‘Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition’ that has never been launched globally before.

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with an all-metal design with no branding on the outside. According to Xiaomi, the laptop is made from an aluminum and magnesium alloy and weighs just 1.35 kgs. Unlike the Mi Notebook variants in China, neither of the Indian variants has a fingerprint sensor which is kind of disappointment.

As the name suggest, The laptop sports a 14-inch Full-HD anti-glare LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and a whopping 91% screen-to-body ratio. The panel boasts a 178-degree viewing angle, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 250 nits of peak brightness. Since the bezels here are super tiny, you don’t get a built-in webcam onboard. But, thankfully Xiaomi bundles a webcam with the device.

Under the hood, the laptop is powered by up to 10th-Gen Intel Core i7-10510U processor with a max clock speed up to 4.9GHz. This is coupled with 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB Nvme Gen 3 SSD storage. The laptop also has a 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX350 Graphic card.

As for the ports, you get one USB 2.0 port and 3.5mm audio jack on the left. The right edge submerges two USB 3.1, one HDMI, and one USB Type-C port.

You also get WiFi 802.11ac (WiFi 5, 2 x 2) and Bluetooth 5.0 as the wireless connectivity options onboard.

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes equipped with a 48Wh battery, which should last you up to 10 hours on a single charge.

The Mi Notebook 14 is essentially a rebranded version of the RedmiBook 14 Pro, which made its debut in China, in August last year.

The Mi Notebook 14 has thicker bezels, obviously has a 14-inch Full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 178-degree viewing angle, and 250 nits of peak brightness. But the thing is, even after thicker bezel on the top, you don’t get built-in webcam.

Under the hood, you still get core i5 and core i7, 10th-Gen Intel Core processors. It is coupled with 8GB 2666MHz RAM, up to 512GB SATA 3 SSD onboard, and up to 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics memory.

The connectivity and battery for this variant remains the same as the Horizon Edition, so cheers!
