Infinix has launched the Infinix Note 5 in India today for a starting price of Rs 9,999. The Note 5 is the successor of the Note 4, which was launched back in August last year. To make the Infinix Note 5 worthy, the company has partnered with Google to power the phone with Android One. With the Infinix Note 5, the company is looking to compete with the Honor 9 Lite and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

The Infinix Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch FHD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and screen to body ratio is 85 per cent. In terms of design, the Infinix Note 5 comes with a premium glass finish design on the back and unibody design on the front with tapered edges. Company claims that the Note 5 is a compact phone and can be easily operated with one hand.

The company claims that the Note 5 can last for 3 days in just a single charge. The Infinix Note 5 is said to deliver 1300 hrs of standby time, 38 hours of talk time, 152 hours MP3 playback time, 16 hours of video play time, and 10 hours of gaming backup. You’ll also get fast charger out-of-the box.

In terms of Camera, the Infinix Note 5 comes with a 12MP sensor on the rear paired with dual LED flash. The rear camera of the Note 5 comes with ASD mode, Portrait mode with AI-based segmentation, and Auto scene detection – automatically adjusts the light, brightness, and contrast. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 16MP AI selfie camera sensor and has modes like AI bokeh selfie and AI beauty.

The dual-SIM Infinix Note 5 is powered by Helio P23 processor based on 16nm FinFET technology. The device also supports dual 4G VoLTE. On the software front, the Infinix Note 5 runs Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box and as mentioned earlier, the smartphone comes with Google’s Android One program, meaning the device will get timely software updates.

The Note 5 comes in two variants – the base model comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a price tag of Rs 9,999, while the top-end model with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage has been priced at Rs 11,999.

The Infinix Note 5 will be available in three colour options namely, Black, Blue and Grey and will go on sale in India starting August 31, exclusively on Flipkart.
