From last couple of weeks, we have seen several leaks about the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro along with the P20 Lite smartphone. Huawei will unveil these smartphones on March 27th in Paris, France. Today, the Huawei P20 Lite is officially unveiled in the Czech Republic. The device contains a price tag of CZK 8,999 (approx $435 / Rs. 28,300) and comes in Klein Blue, Midnight Black, and Sakura Pink color options. It is currently available to pre-order and sales will begin from starting of April.
The design of the P20 Lite is similar to the to the Apple iPhone X, featuring the notch on the front and vertical dual camera setup on the rear. The device sports a glass sandwich design with a metal frame. The device will run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. On the front, the device features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The front notch occupies an earpiece, front camera, and other sensors.
Under the hood, it comes powered by the Kirin 659 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36GHz. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. In terms of camera, the P20 Lite sports a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 16MP single camera on the front. Unlike the the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, there is no Leica branding at the back of the device. The phone is armed with a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery and is mentioned to support fast charging technology via a USB Type-C port.
The device has a circular fingerprint scanner at the rear and it also supports face unlock for authenticating. The P20 lite measures 148.6 x 71.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs 145 grams. Connectivity options on the device includes, 4G LTE, W-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB type-C port.
