BYD has officially celebrated a historic achievement with the roll-off of its 13 millionth new energy vehicle, cementing its position as a global EV leader. The milestone event was held at the Xiaomo Production Base in the Shenzhen–Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, with the luxury YANGWANG U7 as the featured model.
In the first half of 2025, BYD achieved exceptional growth. Domestic sales exceeded 2.113 million units—marking a 31.5% year-on-year increase—while overseas sales reached 472,000 units, up 128.5% from the previous year. These figures solidify BYD’s leadership in global NEV sales.
As the first automaker worldwide to produce 13 million new energy vehicles, BYD continues to set new benchmarks in sustainable transportation. The successful roll-out of the BYD 13 millionth new energy vehicle not only reflects widespread trust in the brand but also highlights China’s rising influence in the high-end electric vehicle market.
