The Taiwan based company has launched it’s latest Chromebook– The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5.
This latest Chromebook by Asus supports both Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Now. The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 offers cloud-based gaming and comes with AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 processors.
The Chromebook comes with some interesting designs viz the orange outline on the WASD keys which according to Asus “lets users stand out while enjoying quick, intuitive gameplay in cloud-based games.”
Although a few laptops have colour highlights on their WASD keys, this latest Asus device is the first Chromebook to have such key highlights.
Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 specifications:
The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 comes with a display of 15.6 inches full HD+ screen and offers 178 degrees of viewing angles. It comes with only 60Hz refresh rate which may not be satisfactory for the gamers.
This Chromebook comes with a 57Wh battery that claims to offer up to 10 hours of battery life with. Asus allows you to choose between a Ryzen 5 3500C or a Ryzen 3 3250C. Both these processor variants feature AMD Radeon integrated graphics.
The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 comes with Harmon Kardon audio system and its proprietary WiFi- stabilizater which may help the gamers have a better gaming experience.
This device comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM along with a choice between the default storage of 64GB or a SSD of 128GB or 256GB.
This Asus Chromebook features an HD (720p) webcam. The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 is made up of aluminium alloy metal chassis with an “obsidian velvet” texture.
This device is available in a single colour variant of ‘Mineral Gray’
Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 price and availability:
The Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 comes at a starting price of $499.99 (approximately Rs 36,600/-) for the base variant with AMD Ryzen 3 processor.
This Chromebook is now available for purchase in the US through the stores Abt and Newegg.
However, there are no details about the availability of Asus Chromebook Flip CM5 in the international market including India.
