After Samsung, Vivo stole the show at MWC 2018 with its APEX concept phone. As of now, Vivo is busy due to a launch scheduled for next week. But it appears that is not the only smartphone they have been working on. A billboard for the Vivo V9 was recently seen– hinting at a launch happening soon.
It’s clear that Vivo is skipping “8” for the V-series and jumping straight to 9. But it’s quite shocking because Chinese culture considers 8 to be the luckiest number.
The Vivo V9 is shown on the billboard features a display with a notch just like that of iPhone X. The bezels on the sides are quite thin and the bottom bezel is also smaller than the one seen on Vivo V7.
The V9 also comes with a 24MP front-facing camera like its predecessors but it may not be the exact sensor as the billboard says it “new”.
There are a lot of other info we still don’t know about the Vivo V9. However, there are rumors that it will launch with dual rear cameras and be powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset. And is also expected to launch in March this year.
Couple of weeks ago, it was reported that company was planning to launch two new full-screen phones in India and discontinue the production of V7 and V7+. The Vivo V9 may be one of the two devices which is going to replace the V7 duo.
