Pokémon GO turns 5 and to celebrate the occasion, the developers of the game have announced a new in-game event between July 6 and July 15. The Pokémon GO Anniversary will be celebrated on July 17 and 18 and all the gamers in India can buy tickets for the Pokémon GO Fest 2021 at a special anniversary price of Rs.399.
Players who have tickets will be able to collaborate with others inside of the Global Challenge Arena, and complete hourly challenges. Completing each challenge will provide the trainers with a bonus, which will last for the remainder of the hour. If a trainer is able to complete all 24 challenges, they will unlock Space, Time and a mystery bonus in the upcoming weeks.
Google Play will also be one of the sponsors of the official event for the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2021. Eligible trainers will get 3 months of free YouTube premium membership and Android players will be eligible for a special Sponsored Gift on Day 1 of Pokémon GO Fest 2021 on July 17.
The game was first launched on July 6,2016. Since then, it has encouraged players to discover Pokémon in the real world. Over the past 5 years, more than 465 billion Pokémon have been caught. Over 49 billion km have been collectively walked and 12.55 billion AR photos have been shot.
